According to the different process requirements of the manufacturer, the pipe length measuring system has a variety of length measuring methods. There are mainly the following:
- Grating ruler to measure length
The basic principle is that the outer sides of the two ends of the steel pipe are respectively provided with two fixed length grating ruler, and the grating ruler is driven near the two ends of the stainless steel pipe by the rodless cylinder, and the length of the steel pipe is measured by the interference phenomenon of light.
It is characterized by high accuracy. But the grating ruler is expensive and difficult to maintain, and is sensitive to dust and the shadow of site vibration. - Camera length measurement.
The camera length measurement is the use of image processing to achieve the length measurement of stainless steel pipe, the principle is that a series of photoelectric switches of equidistant height are installed on a section of the steel pipe conveying silver channel, and the other section is added with a light source and a camera. When the steel pipe passes through this area, the length of the steel pipe can be determined according to the position of the image taken by the camera on the screen at a photoelectric switch.
The feature is that online measurement can be achieved, and the length data can be obtained when the stainless steel pipe passes through the length measurement area, without interval. The lack is that if the special light source is not irradiated, the steel pipe will be interfered with the external light, and the special light source is used because the steel pipe is high in the end of the pipe after the falling floor and the reflection of the light is strong, which is easy to cause reading error. - Encoder length measurement
The principle is that the encoder is installed at the cylinder, the oil cylinder is used to push the steel pipe to move on the silver track, and a series of photoelectric switches with equal distance are installed on the other side. When the steel pipe is pushed by the oil red, the end of the pipe meets the photoelectric switch, and the stroke of the oil cylinder is converted from the recorded encoder reading, so that the long camp of the steel pipe can be calculated
It is characterized by the need to raise the steel pipe when measuring the length. In addition, the photoelectric switch detection also has certain errors, which may need to be fully measured. - Improved encoder length measurement
This method is an indirect measurement method, by measuring the height of the distance between the two sides of the stainless steel pipe and their respective reference points, indirectly measure the length of the steel pipe. A length measuring trolley is set at each end of the steel pipe, the initial position is zero, the spacing is L, and then the walking distance of the editor length to the end of the respective steel pipe is moved (L2L3L-L2-L3 is the length of the steel pipe.
